The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) Spectrum Awards are very special to Omi Privé and our Head Designer, Niveet Nagpal. Ten years ago we won our first Spectrum Awards with our one-of-a-kind sapphire and diamond platinum bracelet and a glowing tsavorite garnet, yellow sapphire and diamond ring. This esteemed recognition helped to fuel the launch of our jewelry brand, Omi Privé in 2011. For 2021 we are honored to be awarded with three unique Spectrum Awards!
A one-of-a-kind platinum moonstone pendant won First Place in “Business Day Wear”. The center pear-shape moonstone weighs over 8 carats and is complimented with a halo of bright, electric Paraíba tourmaline and diamonds to create a unique and eye-catching design. Sapphire and diamond earrings garnered an honorable mention in “Bridal Wear.” The 18K white gold earrings feature 14.54 carat total weight of oval sapphires accented by 2.19 carat total weight of pear-shape sapphires, 0.78 carat total weight of round sapphires and 1.68 carat total weight of round diamonds. The necessary “something blue” for any bride-to-be!”
Last, but certainly not least, is our third place winner in classical with our one-of-a-kind alexandrite ring. This stunning ring is a museum-quality alexandrite weighing over 10 carats with strong color change from bluish-green to red-pink dazzles at the center of this platinum ring. The incredibly rare gemstone is surrounded by a halo of diamonds, and further accented by a side alexandrite halo and basket detail. With over three carats of round, French-cut and epaulette-cut diamonds, hand drawn wire and hand drilled pavé create a piece that’s nearly completely covered in gemstones; phenomenal from all angles and the ultimate statement of rarity.
The team at Omi Privé is honored and grateful each time we are presented an award from the esteemed panel of Spectrum judges. Niveet explains, “Winning a prestigious award like Spectrum is especially significant because the judges are selected from our diverse industry leaders, who focus on every aspect of the pieces entered – quality and type of gemstones, craftsmanship as well as execution of design. Our ethos mirrors similar standards, always seeking to source the world’s finest gemstones and marrying their quality with uncompromising design and craftsmanship”. This year, we decided to send three jaw-dropping, colorful and unique designs to be judged rigorously by the Spectrum Awards judges.
